Accident Prevention
There are lots of useful organisations which have websites where you can get help and advice about accident prevention. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) produces a wide range of resources and publications on health and safety. They have specific advice on playing safely, and safety around water as well as road safety. http://www.rospa.org.uk For road safety, the Department of Transport has booklets about how to cross the road safely, for different age groups, and advice on how to fit car child seats. http://www.thinkroadsafety.gov.uk The Child Accident Prevention Trust publishes a selection of leaflets covering the different stages of child development, and the risks associated with them, and offers advice on how to prevent accidents. http://www.capt.org.uk The NSPCC also produces guides for parents, covering being at home alone and tips on ensuring your children behave sensibly. http://www.nspcc.org.uk
